Anyone know if the CNS's should the chart the same as NP's with the coding changes?

Hi Satu,
The purpose of CPT codes is to capture the work, not who is doing the work.   The nature of the work done by a licensed provider is governed by the state board.  If you are diagnosing and prescribing you would definitely use the E&M codes pertaining to that level of work.  If you are diagnosing and providing therapy you would use the codes that pertain to that work.  I am a CNS licensed as APRN in CT and use the E&M codes. Hope this helps!
