I have a question about using 99205 for new patients. I understand that the patient may not have been seen by another PMHNP/MD in the practice within the past 3 years. This may sound silly but my question is, does this also include having an evaluation done by a LCSW or LPC in the practice?

Also, it sure can be hard to know if someone was in the practice at times if you don't have an EHR. Good to have people who can flag that down for you if they are able.

Hi Romnee,
The social work/psychology intake is diffferent from ours--so it's 3 years for a medical/psychiatric intake.  Hope this helps!
