Welcome to the new year (2015) and a new board board of Directors Our greatest thanks are extended to Barbara Caldwell and Shirley Smoyac for their amazing work for the APNA NJ chapter since its rebirth five years ago! We could not have come this far without their tireless volunteerism and enthusiasm for Psychiatric Nursing in New Jersey! THANK YOU BARBARA AND SHIRLEY!!!!!! We also thank all the board members still serving, Andretta Randall (treasurer), Ben Evans (Past President), Sharon Katz (board member), Carrie Carretta (board member) and Paula Tedesco (board member). A strong chapter needs committed members!
We also want to thank all of you who ran for board positions. We are heartened by the number of members who are increasing their involvement in the chapter and helping us to grow in response to the needs of our community! Thank you Susan Simmins-Alling, Valeria Dworkowitz, Ranjeet Singh, Colleen Borchert and Loutdes Pineda! We look forward to working with you over the next year in new and exciting committees and endeavors!
Congratulations to Craig Shepard, our new President-elect, Veronica Jensen, our new secretary and Mary WIlliams, our new member at large. We are planning an induction ceremony in early March for the new board members, and to honor those who are leaving the board.
