I too am interested in what other facilities are doing in regards to staffing. Do you use a matrix basedon acuity if so how does this look? We are a 24 bed all adult unit within a Med Center Hosp. The hospital has a general staffing to patient ratio but we need something that speaks to the increase in acuity that is ever present within our unpredicatable population.
