Legal Implications of Collaborative Agreements

Thanks Nicholas Croce for adding to this discussion. I did read the pdf re: Anti-Trust Laws, but it did not answer the question as to what is the legal consequences for a psychiatrist to be a Collaborating Physician with an NP, in a state where that is required by law. Can you address this issue- as so many NPs are involved.  I am talking with a psychiatrist in Colorado about serving as my collaborating physician and he is asking about the legal consequences.
Thanks

I am interested in the same question. Does any NP know the going pay or fee for having a collaborative psychiatrist available for consultation? Do you pay a monthly flat rate?
And what is the psychiatrist liability? The NP would have their own liability insurance but I would imagine the MD's malpractice insurance may also be required because the NP would be prescribing medications.
Please respond if you have an arrangement with a MD & how the collaboration is set up.
