I have been an RN BSN since 1979. I have only been a psychiatric nurse since 2011. I love this field. It incorporate the whole being: physically, spiritually, & emotionally. I guess I've always done some psychiatric nursing no matter what area I worked in. I've worked in ICU, PCU, ER, Heart Cath Lab, Dialysis, Hospital Supervisor & Home Health. Working with psych pts has been the most rewarding for me!
