Bio

Successful collaboration is primary in delivering quality psychiatric and mental health care. In order to meet this goal, it Is essential to meet the person where they are in their path to wellness and recovery. Addressing and supporting patient/client concerns and boundaries is my primary focus when developing an individualized and evolving care plan. The therapeutic process acknowledges that the client/patient makes the final decisions. Recommendations generate options and help to guide choice making. The process can be described as listening, assessing and discussing the various treatment possibilities. Care plans are reviewed and modified based upon the client's report of their progress with support from an assessment of changes. The maintenance of a healthy therapeutic relationship that addresses the client's identified needs is ongoing. Specialties: Substance misuse disorders, including process addictions. Mental health/psychiatric problems such as anxiety, depression, mood and attention deficit spectrum disorders. Modalities available: psycho-pharmacological treatment, as well as, non-medication based approaches. Cultural, GLBT and spiritual concerns may be addressed. Adults, couples, families and adolescents are welcome in this practice.
