Bio

NP Dr. Olivia Young is a Board Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who specializes in wellness-oriented addictions recovery, co-occurring disorders, psychotherapy, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), pain management, and psychotropic and sedating medication reduction telehealth practice.  She was certified as a DATA 2000 waivered provider in April of 2017.  Her primary practice setting is telemental health.

Dr. Young’s approach to practice is holistic and epigenetic in orientation.  Because it is the engine that powers the energy that supports the life force, she begins her health care with assessments of the functionality of body cells.  As such, she combines conventional and functional/alternative/complementary psychiatric treatment modalities that emphasize the biochemical relationship between the brain, body and its environment.  The approach also utilizes the latest scientific evidence, professional judgment, diagnostic, and treatment modalities to support the body’s effort to maintain and heal itself.

Dr. has over 40 years of healthcare experience as a registered nurse, nurse educator, nurse researcher, family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.  As an advanced practice nurse, she has experience caring for children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings such as telepsychiatry, inpatient psychiatry, crisis psychiatry, and outpatient community mental health care.

Dr. Young is accepting new patients and can be reached through her business website at www.mindbodyworks.us.  She can also be contacted via email at npdryoung@mindbodyworks.us.  However, please note contact instructions shown on her contact page.
