This month we are featuring an article by Ruth Palan Lopez, Karen M. Rose, Lauren Kenney, Victoria Sanborn, and Jennifer Duncan Davis titled, Managing Shame: A Grounded Theory of How Stigma Manifests in Families Living With Dementia.


Article Highlight:
 In the United States, dementia is the fifth leading cause of death for people age 65 years and older. We interviewed 13 family caregivers and used qualitative methods to explore how stigma related to dementia may negatively impact diagnosis, treatment and access to services.
