Hello,

My name is Rowella and I'm a current MSN student of Chamberlain University pursuing Executive track. I am currently employed full time and work in an outpatient Mental Health Setting serving veterans. I've previously worked in inpatient setting as well.

I am looking for a preceptor for Summer 2021 (July-October 2021). I would really appreciate it if someone take me under his/her wings and show me the ins and outs of becoming a nurse leader.

For the Executive Track, the site must be a healthcare-related organization or nursing institution such as a hospital, outpatient clinic, long-term care facility, home-care services, etc).

The mentor I am looking for meets the following qualification:

1. Registered nurse for five years
2. MSN for at least two years
3. One year experience as a nurse leader (must have fiscal responsibility like annual budgetary planning, oversight and monitoring) over a nursing unit, department, service line and/or facility of organization and must also have direct supervision of personnel.

The mentor is seen as an expert in the area of focus and serves as a resource for students during their practicum experience. There will also be ongoing collaboration with practicum faculty to evaluate student learning through mastery of course outcomes. The mentor will work one-on-one with students through experiential learning during the course. I will also maintain regular contact with my mentor during my practicum experience.

If you are interested to be my mentor/preceptor I would like to hear from you. Kindly respond to this post and my contact information is also available for members.
