I became a Mental Health Nurse by accident. As a new grad, I was looking for a med-surge position like most new grads. I came in one day for an interview (Promise Hospital) and that's when I realize it was for a Behavioral Health RN position. For some reason, my resume ended up in the hands of a BH RN Supervisor.
The rest is history. And here I am, serving people I have a deep connection with since I'm one of them: our very own veterans.
BTW, I'm married to my soulmate and when I'm not busy running around after our kids (which seldom happens), I find myself writing/journaling/blogging/binge watching Harry Potter series. :-)
