APNA Annual conference suggestion

First, I was very impressed with the 2010 APNA Annual conference. It  was very inspiring and rewarding. The networking and ability to share what is going on in research, practice and our daily work with each patient in our various settings was humbling. I won a APNA T-shirt at the Kentucky Derby Gala as a door prize. I proudly wore it the next day. Throughout the next day, at the airport, and on my trip home many people stopped me to ask where I bought it and where they could get one. Other people asked me about being a Psychiatric NP. I spoke about Psychiatric RNs, CNSs, those treating our military and military families, and many other conversations near to our hearts. The T-shirt was black with the beautiful turquoise APNA lettering was like a magnet. what a great way to get the word out about APNA and all we do!!! Let's sell out own T-shirts to get national legislation passed, send students to the conference, and bring recognition to all we can do! T-shirts at the website and each conference! Thank you so much for my opportunity to speak to others about my pride in APNA!

Thank you so much Martha for posting your comments and your enthusiasm. I too had a wonderful experience, meeting so many of my colleagues and friends as well as getting to know so many new members was a delight. Start saving your pennies now and mark your calendar for next year's conference, APNA's 25th anniversary, the California Chapter is already planning very fun events - join us in Disneyland, CA!
