First, I was very impressed with the 2010 APNA Annual conference. It was very inspiring and rewarding. The networking and ability to share what is going on in research, practice and our daily work with each patient in our various settings was humbling. I won a APNA T-shirt at the Kentucky Derby Gala as a door prize. I proudly wore it the next day. Throughout the next day, at the airport, and on my trip home many people stopped me to ask where I bought it and where they could get one. Other people asked me about being a Psychiatric NP. I spoke about Psychiatric RNs, CNSs, those treating our military and military families, and many other conversations near to our hearts. The T-shirt was black with the beautiful turquoise APNA lettering was like a magnet. what a great way to get the word out about APNA and all we do!!! Let's sell out own T-shirts to get national legislation passed, send students to the conference, and bring recognition to all we can do! T-shirts at the website and each conference!
