Dear Potential Participant:

My name is Annie Czerwinski, and I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student at the University at Buffalo (UB) in the School of Nursing (SON). I am in the process of recruiting participants for my DNP project entitled “Impact of Provider Knowledge, Attitudes, and Skills on Treatment Plans of Patients with Borderline Personality Disorder”. The DNP project is a program requirement for all students in UB’s SON.

The purpose of this Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project is to is to improve care of patients with BPD by gaining an understanding of factors that influence how clinical recommendations and prescriptive decisions are made by prescribers of psychiatric medication. The aim of the study is to examine the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of psychiatric providers in managing patients with BPD with both psychotropic medication and non-pharmacological treatments and how this impacts the treatment plan of patients.

I invite you to participate in a one-time electronic survey. Your participation is completely voluntary. To be eligible for study participation, you must read English, be over the age of 18, and be a prescriber of psychiatric medication treating patients with a mental health condition (PMHNP, FNP, Physician). The survey is estimated to take 10 minutes of your time. Your answers will be kept confidential and no will know who participated in the study. Findings of the study will be shared and disseminated.

If you are interested in participating in this study, please click the survey link below.
