Trauma: Identification, Interventions, Treatment, and Resources. Overview This program will review and examine trauma and its treatment, looking through the lens of sensorimotor psychotherapy. It will describe the presentation of the patient dysregulated by trauma and discuss the importance of grounding and regulation. Skills and strategies used in sensorimotor psychotherapy will be presented along with case studies. Objectives • To increase understanding of current best practices for treating the symptoms of trauma • To increase understanding of strategies and skills in sensorimotor psychotherapy Professional Contact Hours Advanced registration is required for approved continuing education units (CEUs). 5 CEUs pending approval for Social Workers and RNs/LPNs.
