Wow, that is scary. I don't understand what is happening and who is "driving this train" but I fear it's headed for disaster. I was speaking with a coworker who told me our VNA system no longer pays for psych visits by RN's. Well, the INSURANCE companies no longer pay for the visits. We are suppose to have parity in Massachusetts - equal treatment of psych and medical patients.. and it used to be that insurance companies would put more money towards prevention rather than having to pay for treatment.. seems they have back-pedaled on that.
I'm just not sure what to say...
