Simultaneous Restraint and Seclusion

The Joint Commission Standard PC.03.05.13 requires that "the [organization] continually monitors patients who are simultaneously restrained and secluded," and the APNA Position Paper and Standards of Practice for Restraint and Seclusion state clearly "Patients are never restrained and left alone in a locked room."
