Our facility uses Meditech. We are using the Plan of Care function with modifications. The modifications were focused on building a system that allowed for individualized goals, behavioral objectives and interventions. The ones pre-installed were considered "basic job functions" and not individualized interventions specific to the patient's treatment. We also had to create a report that allowed for the patient to participate without access to a laptop or PC. I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a part of the core team for the EMR, and was trained to participate in the building of the system at the dictionary level. I'd be happy to share our successes, roadblocks, etc, and would be very interested in hearing about how others have navigated this area. Computerized care plans are tricky, to say the least.
Hi Ms. Devin, we at my hospital are working towards integrating Master treatment plan in the hospital wide electronic documentation system. We use meditech and are looking forward to integrate our master plan into it. Will keep you posted as we progress.
