I am a staff nurse in an acute care in-patient psy unit. Our adult unit is 23 patients and children is 9. On the eve shift (which has most of the admissions) we staff the adult - 1 RN to 5 patients with 3 psy techs on the unit; the children's unit is one RN and one psy tech for 6 or less patients. All shifts have a charge nurse that takes 1-3 patients. Noreen Boise, ID
