Behavioral Rapid Response Teams

By Rita Mack posted 06-25-2010 01:34 PM

I teach CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) for verbal de-escalation and personal safety training to our Psych ED staff. Other hospitals in our system teach Handle With Care. Recently our medical ED began looking at a program titled "MOAB".
I found CPI personal safety techniques more "user friendly" than some HWC moves. CPI seems the most expensive. On first glance at MOABs "testimonials" site it sounds like it is more geared to law enforcement.
Please comment if you have experience with any or all of the programs.
Thanks,
Rita

I am a CPI instructor as well, I have not used any other model. I am starting a per-diem job next week and this facility uses pro-act. I will give you feedback after I finish the training.
