graduate education

When considering both distance and on-site graduate schools for my CRNP, can you advise me what questions I should ask or what attributes should I look for in a program? I have learned a hard lesson from past mistakes. I will spend time assessing programs to ensure a good match between us.

I have already learned it is valuable to know how long the psych coordinator has been in charge of the program.
How long have the instructors been teaching at the graduate level?

What percentage of students, who start, complete the program? How many students pass the ANCC boards on the first attempt? on the second attempt?

How does the school determine if a site is appropriate? Does the school have a list of approved field sites? What "training" is provided to preceptors?

Is there on-going weekly or bi-weekly debriefing of the student's clinical work done with professors?

What training is done in the area of conducting and writing psychiatric assessments?

Would it be more valuable to concentrate on schools that will take me to my MSN and DNP?
