Aloha Colleagues,
I was approached this evening by a young, brilliant psychiatrist who wanted to hire me to fill a federal job on his multidisciplinary team. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on whose perspective, I am totally happy in my private practice, so I declined his offer, but I told him I'd see if I could come up with an appropriate alternative for him. He says the pay is double the average salary and he's looking for smart, energetic, good team players. Since this is a Federal position, I think they could take either a CNS or an NP with prescriptive experience, and for Federal jobs, you can be licensed in any state and still work here in Hawai'i under the Federal regulations.
Let me know if you have an interest.
On another note, and I know it's short notice, but we're having a 15 contact hour psychopharmacology workshop the third week-end in August, at a Kohala Coast hotel on the Big Island of Hawai'i, co-sponsored by the University of Hawai'i at Hilo College of Pharmacy and the Hawai'i Association of Professional Nurses (HAPN), of which I am the current President. The flyer should be ready by the end of this week. I don't know the cost yet or the exact location (UHH is working on the details). If you are interested, contact me and I'll send you the flyer when it is ready. Love to see you there.
Warmest Aloha,
Wailua
