After 20 years as a Board Certified Psychiatric Registered Nurse, I became a Board Certified PMHNP in 2013. I worked for San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Inc, for almost 8 years, treating homeless, mentally ill adults at various outpatient clinics. In February, 2020, I started as the first (and only) Psychiatric NP at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, California, treating adult patients on the inpatient psychiatric unit, Emergency Department and main hospital consultations.
