Dr. Stephanie M. Robinson is a Baltimore native, psychiatric nurse leader, and passionate advocate for mental health equity and system transformation. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Coppin State University and is board certified in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, Nursing Professional Development, and Nurse Executive Leadership. She is currently completing her MSN at Walden University to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Dr. Robinson has over nine years of progressive leadership experience across inpatient, outpatient, and community-based behavioral health systems. Her expertise includes strategic planning, workforce development, regulatory compliance, and innovative clinical program design. She is the founder and CEO of Psymple Healthcare & Solutions, LLC, a behavioral health consulting and service-based company focused on expanding access to care, supportive housing, and organizational improvement for mental health providers.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Dr. Robinson served as a Combat Healthcare Specialist and Sergeant, where she provided emergency medical care and instructed lifesaving courses for service members and coalition forces. Her military background continues to inform her mission-driven, service-oriented leadership style.
Since 2021, she has volunteered with NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore, where she supports community mental health education and crisis intervention training for law enforcement. In 2025, she was elected President-Elect of the APNA Maryland Chapter, where she is committed to advancing the profession, amplifying the voice of psychiatric-mental health nurses, and supporting policies that promote access to high-quality, culturally responsive care.
Dr. Robinson also serves as adjunct faculty and clinical supervisor at several Maryland colleges and universities, mentoring the next generation of psychiatric-mental health nurses. Her work is rooted in the belief that access to compassionate, evidence-based mental health care is a human right, and she remains focused on driving change through advocacy, education, and innovation.
