My clinical practice and research both focus on providing integrated care of the mind and body in order to maintain optimal health for the whole person. Throughout my many years in geriatrics and acute psychiatric care, I observed firsthand the emotional and physical devastation of mental illness. My goal is to improve of individuals with mental illness through: patient centered nursing care, educating the next generation of nurses, and research evidence. Currently, I hold a faculty appointment at Fairfield University and maintain an active clinical practice.
