I am a psychiatric nurse with nearly a decade of experience spanning inpatient, outpatient, community, forensic, child/adolescent, and adult psychiatric care. I am currently completing my Master of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and will graduate in December 2025 as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
I currently work at UT Health Austin across multiple roles—including general adult psychiatry, the bipolar disorder research clinic, and a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) clinic. My responsibilities include crisis management, long-acting injectable administration, provider collaboration in exposure therapy, and neuromodulation treatment delivery. These roles have deepened my commitment to evidence-based, interdisciplinary care for individuals with serious mental illness.
I recently completed formal training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and plan to complete Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training by the end of 2025. In fall 2025, I will also participate in an international health program in the Philippines through TTUHSC, providing community-based care and preventive services across the lifespan in collaboration with Silliman University Medical Center.
In early 2026, I plan to return to the New England area—particularly Rhode Island or Massachusetts—where I hope to first re-enter the workforce as a psychiatric nurse while completing licensure and credentialing as a PMHNP. I am especially interested in practicing within academic or community health systems that prioritize trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
