I received my BSN and MS nursing degrees from St. Xavier University in Chicago. I'm board-certified in PMH-BC and NE-BC. I've served as APNA's Illinois State president and in 2020 I was elected to serve as APNA's National BODs Secretary for a three-year term. My career path has been in clinical administration, retiring from Northwestern Medicine after a 25-year experience working with very gifted nurses. I have presented at numerous local, regional, and national nursing conferences. I co-authored two JAPNA publications and one Archives of Psychiatric Nursing publication. I have self-published two books.
