My name is Kathleen A. Donahue and I am currently an Instructor of Psychiatric Nursing at Cochran School of Nursing in Yonkers, NY. As a nurse for the last 42 years and a psychiatric nurse for 43 years; I have worked extensively with individuals with mental health issues. A strong proponent of relationship based care, I focus on the belief that connecting with patients and putting yourself in their shoes makes the difference. Each and every interaction and moment has tremendous potential to support a person’s recovery.
