Dr. Hogan is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, College of Nursing where she teaches didactic and clinic courses with focus in psychotherapy and continuous quality improvement. She served as the DNP-PMHNP track coordinator from 2020-2024 ensuring student success during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also served as President of the UF CON Faculty Organization (2023-2025). She maintains an active clinical practice in UF College of Medicine, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Hogan is a certified nurse educator and MBSR Level 1 instructor who has served in the nursing profession for more than 12 years. She has maintained a personal mindfulness practice from the outset of her nursing career which has sustained a sense of wellbeing and broadened her capacity to provide compassionate care. Dr. Hogan’s scholarship focus is on suicide risk reduction with a special interest in the application of mindfulness as a wellness practice for clinicians.
APNA service has included Research and Scholarship Council Steering Committee (2022-current), Child & Adolescent Council Steering Committee (2023-current), and APNA Florida Chapter Board Member-at-Large (2024-current). She has contributed to the profession through these service commitments by providing pre-conference workshops, developing content on the Youth Suicide Prevention Position Paper (2024) Steering Committee, and leading the APNA FL Chapter conference planning committee (2025) to deliver the first state conference since 2019.
